PELTOR Optime PTL protector images
An interesting model from 3M The PTL (Push To Listen - "press to hear") protector is an intermediate solution - between a classic passive protector and a fully active model.
The PELTOR PTL hearing protector has a built-in electronic circuit in one canopy: a microphone on the outside, and an electronic circuit and a loudspeaker inside. It is powered by 1 R6/AA battery. Thanks to this solution, the protector allows you to temporarily turn this earphone on in active mode to talk or give someone an important hint/information, while having hearing protection when noise occurs.
The averaged SNR noise attenuation value for the PTL protector is 31dB.
The protector is CE marked under the EN352 standard.
