In the popular mind, the custom of hunting wild animals is more a part of the past than of the present or future world. In a world where so many past practices have been discarded, the tradition of hunting is kept alive. However, questions arise as to whether the cult of hunting trophies associated with hunting in the old days and their collection have the same dimension nowadays as in the past, whether it is possible to hunt without the desire to acquire a trophy, whether we do not feel the need to properly honor the trophy we have acquired by displaying it?

Before that, however, one should try to find an answer to another most important, even fundamental question, why do we hunt? Perhaps a moment's reflection related to finding an answer to this very question will contribute to the revival of old hunting customs related to trophy hunting, collecting and displaying all that the forest gives us.
